Larry W. Nabholz, 63, of Oelwein, Iowa and formerly of Waterloo and Independence, Iowa died Thursday evening, December 12th, 2013 at the Grandview Care Center in Oelwein, Iowa.

Larry was born on March 29, 1950, in Independence, Iowa the son of Homer L. and Glenda P. (Melka) Nabholz. He was a 1968 graduate of the Independence High School and NIACC Community College in Mason City, IA. Following his education Larry farmed with his parents and on his own prior to becoming employed with Rydell Chevrolet in Waterloo, then as a custodian with the Waterloo Building.

He is survived by a sister; Carol (Robert) Fisher, Independence, IA, and a brother; Jay (Jennifer) Nabholz, Brandon, IA., 1 niece, 2 nephews, and 3 great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, Iowa with Rev. John Hougen officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery, Independence. Friends may call from 2 to 4 PM Sunday and from 9AM till time of services at the funeral home.
