Obituary for Terrance James "Fuzzy" O'Loughlin

Terrance J. “Fuzzy” O’Loughlin, 59, of Winthrop, Iowa died Friday November 28, 2014 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Fuzzy was born on April 12, 1955 in Independence, Iowa the son of Joseph H. and Helen M. (Roth) O’Loughlin. He was a 1974 graduate of St. John’s High School in Independence, Iowa and then became employed with the John Deere Company in Waterloo, Iowa. During layoffs from Deere he drove truck for National Electric, and hobby farmed in the Independence area.

He was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.

He loved to hunt and fish and he especially enjoyed being with his family and friends.

Fuzzy is survived by a son; Terrance J. (T.J.) O’Loughlin, Ames, IA, a grandson Terrance A. O’Loughlin, his Fiancé; Becky Kline, Independence, IA, two sisters; Mary Kay (Ron) McNamara, Delhi, IA, and Jean Ann (Wade) Crawford, Independence, IA and four brothers; John (Sam) O’Loughlin, Austin, TX, Patrick (Dee) O’Loughlin, Independence, IA, Gerald (Sue) O’Loughlin, Independence, IA, and Thomas (Fiancé Katie) O’Loughlin, Independence, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers; Joseph and Timmy O’Loughlin.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at St. John’s Catholic Church, Independence, with Rev. Don Plamondon officiating. Interment will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Independence, IA. Friends may call from 2 to 8 PM Tuesday and from 8 Am to 10 AM Wednesday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, IA, where a rosary will be recited at 3 PM and a parish vigil service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday.
