Beverly Ann Oleson, 87, of Independence, IA and formerly of the Waterloo Area died Thursday morning, January 7, 2016 at the ABCM Rehabilitation Center’s West Campus in Independence, IA.

Beverly was born on December 16, 1928 in Albert Lea, MN the daughter of Arthur and Blanche (Thompson) Drommerhausen. She was a 1946 graduate of the Albert Lea High School in Albert Lea MN. On January 29, 1949 she married Martin H. Oleson in Albert Lea, MN. The couple made their home in Mason City, Iowa prior to moving to Waterloo, IA where the couple raised their family. After the children were out of school Beverly went to work at Waterloo Industries as a welder until her retirement in 1991.

She enjoyed reading, camping, square dancing, playing cards, and spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by four children; Sharon Oleson, San Marcos, CA, Tom (Kathy) Oleson, Evansdale, IA, Sue McWhorter, Troy, MO and Tim (Cherry) Oleson, Dallas, TX. Three grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and a brother; Don Drommerhausen, Albert Lea, MN.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 66 years Martin on July 29, 2015, a brother; Dale Drommerhausen, and a sister; Patricia Dulitz.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, January 11th at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, IA with Rev. Bob Solon officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 Noon till services at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
