Berneice Viola Good died Tuesday morning, April 26, 2016 at the ABCM Rehabilitation Center’s West Campus in Independence, IA

Berneice was born December 10, 1933, the youngest of five children of Webster and Cecilia (McNeal) Snyder. Following her graduation from Vinton High School in 1953 she moved to Cedar Rapids, Iowa and worked for McLean’s Dime Store and May's Drug Store. In 1954 she married Harold Sam Corbett in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and had two children; Mary Ann Corbett and John E. Corbett. Harold and Bernice divorced in 1960. In 1963 Bernice met and married Mike Good. Mike passed away in 1982. Bernice worked cleaning houses and babysitting until 1992. In 1992 Bernice moved to Quasqueton and lived there until 2005 when she moved to ABCM Rehabilitation Center’s West Campus in Independence, IA

She is survived by her children; Mary Ann Corbett (Ray) of Shellsburg and John E. Corbett (Marilyn) of Cedar Rapids. Three grandchildren Nicole (Sudhir) Sehgal of Conroe, Texas, Heidi (Matthew) Shannon of Independence, and Lucas Corbett of Cedar Falls, and three great grandchildren Amar, Norah, and Arya of Conroe, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Clarence Snyder, and three sisters; Dorothy Bates, Katherine Lutz, and twin sister Berneita Newborer.

Memorial services will be held at 1:30 PM Saturday in the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, IA with Gary Wilson officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Bear Creek Cemetery, Brandon, Iowa.
