Kenneth C. “Kenner” Lynch, 66, of Independence, IA, died Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at the ABCM Rehabilitation Center’s West Campus in Independence, IA.

Kenner was born on December 11, 1951 in Bay City, MI, the son of Charles H. and Elaine M. (Pierson) Lynch. He was a 1970 graduate of the Jefferson High School, Independence, IA, and went onto enlist in the U.S. Navy on June 16, 1971. After returning from the Navy he was employed with Bloom Manufacturing, Independence, IA, where he worked as a CNC Machinist for 36 years.

In his free time he enjoyed staying active by playing horseshoes, golf and bowling. He also loved his numerous cats throughout his life.

He is survived by his daughter Miranda McDonaugh, Cedar Rapids, IA, three grandchildren, Molly, Mae, and Shaw McDonaugh, Cedar Rapids, IA. Two brothers Tom Lynch, Falmouth, MA and David Lynch, Independence, IA, a sister Sandy Lynch, Des Moines, IA, and a niece that helped him in the final months of his life, Laura Loeb, Independence, IA.

Kenner was preceded in death by his parents.

A private service will be held at a later date.
