Dennis Frank "Wolfman"  McLane
Dennis F. “Wolfman” McLane, 65, of Hazleton, IA died on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospital & Clinics in Iowa City, IA.

Dennis was born on March 3, 1952 in Waterloo, IA the son of Perry N. and Ruth N. (Stearns) McLane. He was a 1971 graduate of Jefferson High School, Independence, IA. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1971 and served proudly until his discharge in 1974. On September 22, 1975 he married Carol L. Harriman at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics Chapel in Iowa City, IA. Dennis worked for many years in the meat packing industry, and worked for Iowa Ham and Tyson’s for many years.

Dennis loved to use his hands and spent his free time working on cars. He enjoyed going to concerts with his wife, and spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Carol McLane, Hazelton, IA, three children Meridith McLane, Hazelton, IA, Dennis McLane Oelwein, IA, and Heather (Guadalupe) Becerra, Waterloo, IA, eleven grandchildren Seth McLane, Brandon Van Note, Haillee Van Note, Xzavier McLane, Gracie Gage, Lillyan Frye, Laura McLane, Luke McLane, Anthony McLane, Natasha McLane and Tristan Becerra, a great grandson Seth McLane. A brother Fred McLane and a sister Sharon Van Zant.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Doris Stacy, and a half-brother Arvin Cone

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, IA with Pastor Howard Mace officiating. Burial will be held at Garden of Memories, Waterloo IA. Friends may visit from 4 PM until 8 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 and from 9 AM until services on Friday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory.
