Lori A. Williams, 53, of Independence, IA died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at her home in Independence, IA, following a twenty year battle with heart disease.

Lori was born May 9, 1964, in Waterloo, IA daughter of Gerald and Beverly (Hewitt) Miller. She attended the Jesup School District and went on to join the Job Corp. Des Moines, and later received her CAN certificate. In 1988 she made her home in Independence, IA and worked at the Shamrock for many years.

She enjoyed making people laugh, and loved to help anyone she could throughout her life.

She is survived by a daughter Amanda Miller-Stammer, of Independence, IA, two sons; Denny Miller-Stammer, of Manchester, IA, and Dusty (Sharlene) Williams, of Cedar Rapids, IA, a step-son Justin (Malloree) Jorgensen, of Plankinton, SD, three brothers; Mark (Darla) Miller, of Independence, IA, Todd Miller, of Independence, IA, and Wade (Deana) Miller, of Independence, IA, a sister-in-law, Jolene Miler, of Independence, and many nieces and nephews.

Lori is preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Beverly Miller; a son, Jacob Graves and sister, Paula Miller.

Visitation will be held on Thursday January 4, 2018 from 4 PM until 8 PM at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, IA. Memorial Service will be held on Friday January 5, 2018 at 11 AM with Rev. Robert Solon officiating, at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc.
