Condolence: Oh my gosh, I'm so happy we continue to receive the Bulletin Journal after having moved to the Green Bay area nearly two years ago. We didn't always find Independence to be the most welcoming community, but Tom always made us feel valued and enriched! Ironically the horoscope posted for me in the same issue as Tom's obituary stated "Take a few moments and think about your inner values and what really matters to you. Remember - you never see a hearse pulling a U-Haul." To me, that says it all about Tom, his most valued possessions were the values he carried within and demonstrated outwardly. Earth's loss is Heaven's gain!!!!

Condolence: My condolences to Tom's family. I only had the pleasure of knowing Tom briefly through umpiring high school softball. I was blessed to work a few lower level games with Tom in the recent years. Lastly I was glad to recognize Tom sitting in the crowd this past year while working an Independence softball game. I was able to share one last handshake and greeting with him as well. RIP TOM

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Recently I lost my dear mother and found great comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 - "The Sovereign Lord will swallow up death forever, and wipe away the tears from all faces." Also at Revelation 21 verse 4, we find God's promise to remove both pain and death. I hope these verses will give you a measure of comfort during your time of grief.
