Bobby J. Estes, 75, of Independence, Iowa died Thursday, June 28, 2012, at the Buchanan County Health Center in Independence, Iowa.

Bobby was born on April 19, 1937, in Winfield, Alabama the son of Henry Walter and Rena (Dickinson) Estes. He was married to Barbara Hines on March 22, 1968 in Bell Flower, California. The couple made their home in Independence, Iowa

He is survived by his wife Barbara, four children; Bobbie Gene Estes, Hamilton, Alabama, James Holden, Waterloo, IA., Robert (Lynn) Estes, Independence, IA., Lucy Estes, Independence, IA., nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, a brother; Guy Estes, Winfield, Alabama, and a sister; Icy Banks Kilgore, Winfield, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers; Jim, R.B., Basil, and Ray Estes, and five sisters; Maxine Flippo, Pauline Estes, Deliska Estes, Wanda Harris and Mae Kivette.

In accordance of Bobby’s wished his body was cremated with private family memorial services will follow at a later date. The Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, Iowa is in charge of arrangements.
