William D. Goodman Sr., 64, of Independence, IA formerly of Manchester, IA died on May 6th, 2014.

Bill was born January 2, 1950 in Ocean Side, CA, the son of Russell & Laura (Childress) Goodman. He was a graduate of Agura High School with the Class of 1969. He was united in marriage to Penny Kay Hadley on October 7th, 1984; and moved their home to Manchester, IA; where Bill was employed by the city for many years. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed rodeos and being the best cowboy he could be.

He is survived by his children Stephanie (Andrew) Hummel, of Independence, IA, William Goodman Jr., of Hopkinton, IA, and Russell Goodman, of Hopkinton, IA. Nine grandchildren, Kameria and Masin Hummel, Harley, Malia, Leah, Kaen, and Hunter Goodman, Keegan, and Elizabeth Goodman. A sister Barbara (Rex) Funk, of Ferron, UT, and many members of the Hadley & McDowell Families.

He was preceded in death by his parents Russell & Laura Goodman, and his wife Penny Hadley,
