Lois M. Tucker, 76, of Brandon, Iowa died Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the University Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Lois was born on January 24, 1938 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Gerald M. and Evelyn M. (Cameron) Newcomb. At a young age she moved with her family to the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area where she attended the Cedar Rapids Schools. On April 28, 1953 she was married to Melvin M. Tucker in Marion, Iowa. The couple resided in Cedar Rapids and Evansdale, Iowa prior to moving to Brandon, Iowa in 1976.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and working outdoors in her yard.

Lois is survived by her husband; Melvin of Brandon, IA, five children; Franklin (Theresa) Tucker, Brandon, IA, Jerry (Mike) McNuey, Jesup, IA, Debra (Mark) McConnell, Waterloo, IA, Kevin (Tammi) Tucker, Cedar Rapids, IA, Tom (Becky) Tucker, Waterloo, IA, twenty one grandchildren, thirty five great grandchildren, three sisters; Betty Dray, of Texas, Janet Meyers, Dumont, IA, Edith Keilholtz, Monticello, IA, and two brothers; Frank Egan, Cedar Rapids, IA, and Ton Egan, of Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister; Ruthie Newcomb, and two brothers; Lawrence and Gerald Newcomb.

Graveside Memorial Services will be held at 11 Am Thursday at the Brandon Cemetery, Brandon, Iowa.
The Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory of Independence, Iowa is assisting the family with the arrangements.
