Betty Ann Necker, 86, of Hazelton, IA, died on Friday, October 30, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Oelwein, IA

Betty was born on July 27, 1929, in Independence, IA, the daughter of Fergus & Effie Mae (Kiggins) Danehy. She attended St. John’s Catholic Schools. On July 24, 1954 Betty married Arthur Necker in Manchester, IA, and the two made their home on a farm in rural Hazelton, IA. In 2005 they sold the farm and moved to Archer, FL. Betty later moved back to Hazelton following Arthur death in 2011.

She is survived by her children Dale (Marlene) Necker, Archer, FL, Lee (Carol) Necker, Newark, CA, Nick Necker, Elgin, IA, John Necker III, Hawkeye, IA, Mary (Gerald) Galer, Sumner, IA, and May Berry, Waterloo, IA; eighteen grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren, and ten great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and by her beloved husband Arthur Necker in 2011. Three children Benjamin Blakeslee, Billy Joe Necker, and Barbara Johnston; four brothers Jay Danehy, Frank Danehy, and George Danehy, and William Danehy three sisters Patty Jamison, Dorothy Davis, and Elizabeth Danehy, two grandchildren Tammy McCummber, and Kenneth Necker, and two great grandchildren Nikki Beaulieau, and BJ Beaulieau.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at 1 PM at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, IA, with Pastor Rick Rustand Officiating. Friends may call from 10 Am till services on Wednesday.
