Obituary for Bryce Gerald Pauls

Bryce G. Pauls, 71, of Waterloo, Iowa and formerly of Independence, Iowa died Monday evening, April 25, 2016 at Unity Point, Allen Hospital in Waterloo, Iowa.

Bryce was born on January 25, 1945 in Richland Center, Wisconsin the son of Gerald and Hazel (Hanson) Pauls. He graduated from the Richland Center High School and served with the U.S. Navy from July 9, 1966 to his discharge on July 7, 1968. Upon his return from the service he entered the construction business becoming an independent contractor in the Independence, Iowa area.

He is survived by three children; Aaron (Amy) Pauls, Manchester, IA, Jerilyn (Jeremy) Durnan, Independence, IA, Bryan (Sarah) Pauls, Cedar Falls, IA, nine grandchildren; a sister; Patty (James) Pulvermacher, and two brothers; Rick (Phyllis) Pauls, and Randy Pauls all of Richland Center, Wisconsin.

Memorial services will be held at 10 AM Saturday in the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, IA with Sharon Bainbridge officiating. Inurnment will be in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, Independence with full military rites.
