Nancy L. Krempges, 62, of Independence, Iowa died Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Manor Care Center, Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Nancy was born on September 5, 1954, in Independence, Iowa the daughter of Archie D. and Mildred L. (Van Horn) Potts. She was a 1972 graduate of the Independence High School, Independence, IA. On January 5,1974, she married Richard F. Krempges in Independence. Nancy was employed with Wieland Labs in Cedar Rapids, IA., with a physician’s office in Manchester, IA., then with Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, IA. until 2003 at which time she opened the Rose Creek Gift’s and More in Independence.

Nancy loved to spend time with her family, she enjoyed sewing and baking.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Krempges, Independence, IA, two daughters Melissa (Mike) Henschel, DeWitt, IA, and Kari (Steve Harford) Van Zee, Springville, IA. Three Grandchildren; Austin, Logan, and Taryn Henschel, her mother Mildred L. Potts, Independence, IA., a brother Dale (Susan) Potts, Janesville, MN, and a sister; Janice (Kevin) Thedens, Denver, IA.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father Archie Potts in 2009.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, February 28, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Independence with Rev. Greg DeBoer, officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery, Independence, IA. Friends may call from 4 to 8 PM Monday at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory, Independence, and from 9 AM till services Tuesday at the church.
