Sondra Maria Peck, 68, of Cedar Rapids, IA, and formally of Biloxi, MS, and Phoenix, AZ died Sunday November 12, 2017 at ManorCare Health Services in Cedar Rapids, IA.

Sondra was born on January 9, 1949, in Biloxi, Mississippi the daughter of Leonard E. and Dorothy H. (Steen) Guidry. On January 20, 1970 she married George Harrison Peck III at the Hahn Air Force Base near Kirchberg, Germany. In 1981 she received a degree in nursing from the Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College in Gulfport, MS. She and her husband made their home in Biloxi, MS, and Phoenix, AZ. Sondra worked as a Registered Nurse for many years. In 1994 Sondra and her family moved Iowa after Hurricane Katrina displaced their family from Biloxi, MS.

Sondra enjoyed staying active; she went bowling and golfing often, and went out socializing with her friends. She loved spending time with her family the most, and attending church and church activities.

Sondra is survived by her children Victor Peck, and Keith Peck both of Cedar Rapids, IA, and a sister Dottie Gould of Chino Valley, AZ.

She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband George H. Peck III.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM on Thursday, November 18, 2017 at the Reiff Funeral Home & Crematory in Independence, IA, where friends may call from 9 AM until services on Thursday. Burial will be in the Quasqueton Cemetery in Quasqueton, IA.
