Robert W. Hills, 54, of Independence, IA died Thursday December 14, 2017 at Manorcare Health Services in Waterloo, IA.

Robert was born April 16, 1963, in Independence, IA, the son of Jimmy W. and Mary E. (Peterson) Hills. He graduated from Independence High School in 1982, and went on to Vocational school in Williamsburg. On May 18, 1984 Robert married the love of his life Cynthia Marie Wallace in St. John’s Catholic Church in Independence, IA. He worked many different jobs throughout the years, from working on small engines to home repair.

He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Hills, Independence, IA, mother Mary Hills, Independence, IA, a step-daughter Jessica Wallace, Tipton, IA, a sister Shirley Hills, Waterloo, IA, and many nieces and nephews.

Robert is preceded in death by his father Jimmy Hills, and a sister, Nancy Hills

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
