Roxann L. Funk, 61, of Vinton, IA, died on Friday December 14, 2017 at her home in Vinton, IA

Roxann was born September 29, 1956, in Independence, IA, daughter of Paul L. & Janet L. (Strine) Funk. She attended the Independence Community Schools, and received her GED. After she finished school she moved to Waterloo, IA where she worked as a waitress for several years. Then in 1992 she moved to Dallas, TX, where she began working as a telemarketer. She quickly worked her way into management and became a supervisor at her company. In 2014, Roxann made her home in Vinton, IA with her friend Terry Vaughn.

She is survived by a daughter Shelly M. Sherwood, Dallas, TX, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, five brothers Jimmy (Michelle) Hermsen, Lonnie Mathews, Jeff Shonka, Mike (Shelly) Fratzke, and Cory (Danielle) Reddick, two sisters Kellie (Larry) Wells, and Jody Carpenter, and many nieces and nephews.

Roxann is preceded in death by her parents, Paul Funk & Janet Reddick, and two brothers Randy Funk, and Brian Reddick

A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
