Daniel L. Flack, 55, of Independence, IA died Monday, May 14, 2018 at his home in Independence, IA.

He was born July 4, 1962, in Waterloo, IA the son of James P. and Joyce J. (Embrey) Flack. He was a 1981 graduate of Independence, IA. In 1988 He married Susan Turney in Phoenix, AZ, and they later made their home in Dardanelle, AR. In 2003 he moved back to Independence, IA. He spent years as a Redi Mix truck driver, and most recently worked for the Benton Concrete Company in Independence, IA.

Daniel was an avid outdoorsman. He loved spending time with his family, and often took them fishing and bowhunting.

Daniel is survived by his mother; Joyce (Flack) Langdon, two children; Danielle Flack, Dardanelle, AR, and Raymond Flack, Dardanelle, AR; a brother David Flack, Independence, IA; a sister Diane (Howard) Thomas, Independence, IA; and several nieces and nephews.

Daniel was preceded in death by his father James P. Flack.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, May 26, 2018, at the Wilson Cemetery in Independence, IA.
