Pamela Sue  Jensen
Pamela S. Jensen, 68, of Independence, Iowa June 25, 2018 at the University Hospitals & Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.

Pam was born on July 19, 1949 in Independence, Iowa the daughter of John E. and Icil M. (Murphy) Jensen. She was a 1967 graduate of the East Buchanan High School in Winthrop, Iowa. Following her education, she became employed with the Hotel Pinicon in Independence for several years prior to becoming employed with Buchanan County Public Health Department where she worked for 30 years prior to her retirement in 2012. She was married to Robert W. Hughes.

Pam enjoyed following her children and grandchildren around to their musical, sporting and school activities. She was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Dallas Cowboys fan.

Pam is survived by her husband Robert W. Hughes, Independence, IA, three sons; John (Heather) Hughes, Cedar Rapids, IA, Michael (Jennifer) Jensen, Waverly, IA, and Rob (Jenny Yoder) Hughes, Independence, IA. Six grandchildren, and a sister; Joan Cook, Canyon, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, and brother-in-law; Linda (Larry) Dale

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday June 29th, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Independence with burial in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7 PM Thursday at the Reiff Family Center in Independence and from 9 AM to services Friday at the church.
