My sympathy to Denny's family. My brother, Jim Noonan, was a high school classmate of Denny's. Jim always spoke highly of all his classmates and enjoyed when he could spend time with them. I know Denny and Jim were very grateful for those Coggon memories.

Denny and I were teammates in baseball and basketball at North Linn in 1966 and 67. We played on some great teams and Denny was not only a good teammate; he was a great guy and friend. He possessed a lively personality and I remember one game in particular against Cedar Rapids Jefferson which we trailed in the bottom of the 7th when he started singing “Sweet Pea” in the dugout to help rally the team and keep us loose. We came back and won the game! Rest In Peace Lefty, we are gonna miss you.
