Obituary for Wayne Roger Dotzler
Wayne R. Dotzler was born on August 16, 1954 in Harmony, MN the son of Edward and Helen (Hovey) Dotzler. He was a 1973 graduate of Decorah High School. He went on to join the United States Air Force on July 1, 1974 serving to his discharge on May 17, 1974. He worked for many years as a Quality Control Specialist at Tysons in Independence, Iowa.
Wayne died on September 23, 2020 at his home in Hazelton, IA.
He is survived by his four children: Jerome Sanderson, Decorah, IA, Nichole Dotzler, Waukon, IA, Tiffany Ghegan, Waukon, IA, and Derek Dotzler, Waukon, IA, seven grandchildren, fifteen brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Edward, and Hellen Dotzler, one sister and a brother.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, October 17th at the Reiff Family Center, 216 3rd Ave SE, Independence, IA., where friends may call from 12 Noon to time of service. The family encourages social distancing and facial masks are required.
