Condolence: We were sorry to hear of Veva's passing. She led a good, long life, with important time spent at Fontana Park, while her husband worked as the first Executive Director for the Conservation Board. Over the years she shared many photos and memories of those early days of the Conservation Board. From all of us at Fontana Park, we give our condolences to the family.

Condolence From: Jerry & Mary Ellen Earles
Condolence: So many times I sat around a table at Bible Study with Veva, she was a spiritual mother to me and so many others over the years. She will be missed but leaves a great legacy of a faithful woman of God. She lived out her life fully and with grace. I am sure Jesus said to her, "welcome home, my good and faithful servant." Sorry for the loss for all her family and friends. She was a great lady!
Love, Jerry and Mary Ellen

Condolence: I am sorry to learn of your family sorrow. The death of a loved one is painful. If I may, I'd like to share scripture found in your Bible that may comfort you in some way. John 6:40 reads...For this is the will of my Father, that everyone that beholds the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life and I will resurrect him in the last day. You see, according to this promise, we have hope.

Condolence: My wife and I just stopped at Walnut Grove MN and DeSmet SD this past weekend and Mrs. VanLaningham came to mind in her reading about Laura Ingals Wilder--Little House on the Prairie, when I was in 4th grade at Quaskie in the 50"s. My cousin Clifford Yeater just informed me of Mrs. VanLaningham"s passing--they had the same birthday of June 24, and he had attended her 100th birthday in AZ.
