Obituary for Ruth Katherine Hall (Wilson)

Ruth Katherine Hall, 64, of Independence, Iowa died Saturday, February 18, 2017, at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa.

Ruth was born on April 1, 1952 in Oelwein, Iowa the daughter of Keith K. and Betty Lou (Harn) Wilson. She married Robert E. Hall on July 29, m1973, in Immanuel Lutheran Church, Independence. The couple made their home in Independence and Ruth was employed with Pamida and later Shop Ko in Independence, Manchester and Oelwein for over 40.
Ruth loved her family and enjoyed visiting with them and friends around the camp fire while camping.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Robert Hall, a daughter Dawn Wilson, Masonville, IA, three grandchildren; Katherine Hall, Chloe and Abigail Wilson. Five sisters; Grace Mendenhall, Winthrop, IA, Judy Smith, Independence, IA, Marylou Ellis, Flagstaff, AZ, Theresa Straw, Independence, IA, Christine Hogan, Independence, IA, and a brother; Jerome Wilson, Waterloo, IA.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters; Linda Bonefas, and Susan Morris, and two brothers; John and Jim Wilson.

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday at the Reiff Funeral Home and Crematory, Independence with burial in the Wilson Cemetery, Independence. Friends may call from 10 AM till services Wednesday at the funeral home.
